WOW, it's cold outside! So I hope you're staying warm and cuddling with a super soft blanket or puppy!
In cold moments like these, we think (or at least I think), "Ohhh how nice it would be to have someone to sit on my feet and warm them up."
No...? Just me? Noted.
Anyways, I've been single for over a year now (maybe not so surprising with this 'sit on feet' thing). But it's been a HUGE relief and I kinda feel like my own girlfriend/boyfriend now.
I buy myself flowers, convert my bathroom into a spa like once a week, treat myself to scrumptious pasta dinners...
Not to say that I wouldn't be open to an incredible relationship, but that person has not yet walked into my life.
When I meet them, I will know. Because I listen to my body now. Especially since that last relationship never actually felt right. But logically, it made sense.
Great guy, amazing artist, so many checks. But there it was. You know that gut feeling?
The one trying to tell you something is or isn't for you. The one that you think will go away, but never actually does.
Here's what it was trying to tell me:
That for reasons I could not logically know at the time, we were not right for each other.
And after two years, I finally listened. And gave in. Ever wonder whether to listen to your gut or not?
Here are some signs you really should:
1. You feel SUFFOCATED. Literally like something is standing on your chest and holding you down. You find that you question yourself more, hold yourself back, and try to stay SMALL. But hey, you were not MEANT to fit in a box! You were meant to break out of it and take up your space! YASSS.
2. You can’t kick the SLUGGISHNESS. No matter HOW MUCH you sleep. You always feel tired. Almost as if whatever situation might be causing it is a sleepy pill, drowning out your light and pressing snooze on all your life goals and dreams. Kick that to the curb!
3. You’re stuck in STAGNATION. And don’t really feel like you’re going anywhere…kinda like when your airline pushes back the flight like 5 times and then cancels it after sitting there for five hours. WAH. You don’t have time for that! Find the cause, then get your tires rolling love.
What’s holding you back now??
